Chinese Society of Cardiology guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of adult fulminant myocarditis

Haushaltschemikalien: Gefahr für’s Gehirn

Ein Forscherteam der  Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine  hat neue Einblicke in die Gefahren einiger gängiger Haushaltschemikalien für die Gehirngesundheit geliefert. Sie legen nahe, dass Chemikalien, die in einer Vielzahl von Gegenständen enthalten sind, von Möbeln bis hin zu Haarprodukten, mit neurologischen Erkrankungen wie Multipler Sklerose und Autismus-Spektrum-Störungen in Verbindung stehen könnten. Neurologische Probleme betreffen Millionen von Menschen, aber nur ein Bruchteil der Fälle kann allein auf die Genetik zurückgeführt werden, was darauf hindeutet, dass unbekannte Umweltfaktoren eine wichtige Rolle bei neurologischen Erkrankungen spielen.
